Kathmandu: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has predicted heavy rainfall in some areas of Koshi Province due to the ongoing influence of the monsoon system. Additionally, local wind patterns and a low-pressure area developed around Bihar, India, are affecting the weather across the rest of Nepal.

Weather Conditions:
Koshi and Madhes Provinces: Completely cloudy skies.
Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces: Generally cloudy.
Rest of the Country: Partly cloudy skies.
Rainfall Predictions:
Current Rainfall: Light to moderate rain is occurring in parts of Koshi, Bagmati, and Karnali provinces, with isolated showers in Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.
Daytime: Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and at isolated places in Madhes and other parts of the country. Heavy rainfall is possible in one or two places in Koshi Province.
Nighttime: Generally cloudy in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, with light to moderate rain and thunderstorms likely in these areas. Isolated showers expected in the rest of the country.
Advisory:
The Department has advised the public to remain cautious due to the potential impact of heavy rainfall, which could affect daily life, agriculture, health, tourism, mountaineering, and transportation. There is a heightened risk of floods, landslides, and soil erosion, particularly in areas expected to receive heavy rainfall.

Residents and travelers in affected areas should take necessary precautions to minimize risks and ensure safety during this period of adverse weather conditions.
